HEGELIAN DIALECTIC AND THE NEW WORLD ORDER

After reading Antony C. Sutton’s America’s Secret Establishment, I felt challenged to prove his central hypothesis: that the elites who control the American State deliberately created and then “managed” the conflicts between capitalism and communism, the political “right” and “left”, in order to transform these opposing forces into a synthesis of a higher order. In more philosophical terms, these elites use a dialectical process, based on Hegelian logic, to create a predetermined historical synthesis. Continue reading

THE MAKING OF A MYTH TO CONCEAL THE TRUTH

‘The powers of ordinary man are circumscribed
by the everyday Worlds in which they live,
yet even in these rounds of job, family, and neighborhood
they often seem driven by forces they can
neither understand nor govern.
‘Great changes’ are beyond their control
but effect their conduct and outlook none the less.’

Anticipating the establishment

In a preface to his book Democracy Incorporated, professor emeritus of Politics Sheldon S. Wolin poses a question, running the risk he remarks, that critics may dismiss the volume as fantasy: “How to persuade the reader that the actual direction of contemporary politics [i.e. in the U.S.] is toward a political system the very opposite of what the political leadership, the mass media, and think tank oracles claim that it is, the world’s foremost exemplar of democracy?”i A bit further Wolin writes, “my hope is that sceptical readers will resist the impulse to dismiss it and persevere instead.”ii Continue reading

CONSPIRACY THEORY: DEFECT OF A CONCEPT

What is it with “conspiracy theories” that makes certain people infuriated, judging anyone who is interested in them as paranoid or a complete wacko? Is it right to argue, or rational to assume that all conspiracy believes are based on sentimentality rather than on unbiased reasoning and objective observation? How did we get to a place where truth seekers are now conspiracy theorists, since that is how people are being labelled who are bold enough to ask questions, acknowledging the gaping holes in the ‘official’ stories they have reasons to doubt?1 Continue reading

WERE THE 9/11 ATTACKS MANIFESTATIONS OF A “COSMIC WAR”?

Why is it that established scholars of religion like Reza Aslan, discussing global issues such as the attacks on 9/11, 2001, never consider the possibility that a global power orchestrated this event, setting the stage for total global control? Besides the many unanswered questions of 9/11 that have only piled up higher, in today’s globalised world where everything is interconnected, yet where the real power remains hidden, this question seems justified. JAZZ MUSIC AND GLOBAL POLITICS

Setting the record straight on “Technological Rationality”

Perhaps the most radical and complex development the United States was faced with in the 1920s was embodied by the culture industry: the emergence of ‘electric technology,’ material-energetically shaped in all sorts of technological innovations like radio, records, film and technical gadgets. The far reaching, even global consequences of this development were thoroughly investigated by German philosophers Adorno and Horkheimer, who wrote in Dialectic of Enlightenment that “the ruthless unity in the culture industry is evidence of what will happen in politics.”1 Continue reading
